Jack and Alex’s brewing friendship came as they enjoyed an endearing chat where the stationery salesman said he always had the doctor’s back.
As the pair enjoyed a sweet embrace fans couldn’t resist comparing them to the stars of last year’s show Chris and Kem, who many said deserved to couple up and win the show themselves.
Their sweet bed-based chats and hilarious boy antics became a legendary part of last year’s show, and many viewers seemed to make the same connection as they rushed to social media.

Jack has been on a mission to help Alex find love in the villa after striking up his own romance with barmaid Dani Dyer, and so far the Welsh doctor’s journey has been nothing short of rocky.

However Friday night’s show saw the public vote to save Alex and partner Samira from being dumped from the island, leading to fan elation as the hunk favourite was set to get a second chance at love.
The show also saw the revelation that two new girls will be entering the villa on Sunday night, leading many to wonder whether one could finally be Alex’s perfect match.
Regardless Alex-fans have remained cautiously optimistic about the dishy doctors prospects with the two new arrivals, with one being Newcastle beauty Ellie and the other being Essex-born government advisor Zara McDermott.
