But it has now been claimed that Love Island’s Ellie Brown is only newly-single – having dumped her boyfriend days before her appearance on the show.
According to The Sun, the car saleswoman, 20, had been ‘really happy’ with the businessman, and even told him she loved him before ditching him for the ITV2 series.

The paper reports that the pair had split up in December, but decided to give their romance another try in April.
However, they went on to claim that Ellie abruptly cut their relationship short, having kept her upcoming appearance on Love Island a secret.
An insider said: ‘Everyone thought they seemed really happy together. But then the next thing we know she’s in Love Island – and he’s back home watching her on TV. It’s crazy.’

Claiming the pair had been getting serious ahead of her time on the show, they added: ‘She’d even said she loved him.’
However, a spokesperson for Love Island denied the claims, telling MailOnline: ‘We have spoken to Ellie’s family who have confirmed that she split with her last boyfriend late last year.’
A close friend of Ellie’s went on to affirm there was nothing romantic between the pair, and that they had simply remained friends since their break-up over Christmas.

They added: ‘Ellie had seen him around because they have mutual friends but they weren’t dating. She’s been single ever since their break up.’
Ellie has caused a stir in the villa so far – having turned the heads of both Alex George and Wes Nelson.
Alex has openly admitted his feelings for the blonde – following their smooch on their first date – and even sweetly made her breakfast on Tuesday’s episode.

However, Ellie has also revealed her attraction to design engineer Wes, who is currently coupled up with Laura Anderson.
The Newcastle native was seen chatting to Adam Collard about her confusion on Tuesday, while the girls in the villa speculated whether Ellie is attracted to Alex at all.
Her entry has ruffled Laura’s feathers, leading to a number of arguments between her and Wes.
