Love Island: Dumped Rosie takes a swipe at Lauren Goodger

Her turbulent romance with Adam Collard has kept viewers captivated.

And following Rosie Williams’ departure from the villa on Friday night’s show, she has been met by the torrent of headlines surrounding her relationship with the ‘emotionally abusive’ hunk – including Lauren Goodger branding her ‘a psycho’.

Hitting back at the former TOWIE star, the evicted Islander claimed Lauren would have ‘acted the same way she did’ in the face of Adam’s behaviour, which she branded ‘unkind’ before insisting she would like him to leave the villa next.

Rosie became the second individual voted out of the villa, following the departure of Kendall Rae-Knight while the first couple to kicked out was Charlie Frederick and Hayley Hughes, and she was keen to discuss her time on the show.

After domestic abuse charity Women’s Aid spoke out about the warning signs of Adam’s behaviour towards Rosie, she was quick to insist she did not feel ‘abused’ as she felt she was stronger than what he subjected her to.

She said: ‘I wouldn’t label Adam emotionally abusive, we had a rollercoaster together and he handled the situation in the complete wrong way and people need to remember he’s only 22 and he’s still got a lot to learn.

‘I don’t think he’s had many serious relationships. It’s up to them if they felt that necessary but I felt I was strong enough with it and I don’t feel I was abused in anyway and it’s just what was in front of me.’

Following Lauren’s comments about her being a ‘psycho’, she hit back with: ‘People only see a hour a day and we’re together 24 hours a day and people don’t see what he’s like with me, what he promises me, meeting on the outside, meeting each other’s parents.

‘We were going to leave together as a couple and there were high hopes. If he’d just had a simple chat with me from the beginning when Zara walked in and said to me: «I like her», it would of been fine. But I think any girl, especially Lauren Goodger, would have acted the same way.’

After Adam left Kendall Rae-Knight for her, many claimed she was being a hypocrite for her heartbreak when she was left for Zara McDermott.

Defending herself, she said: ‘When he was with Kendall, he handled it completely differently. It was all very sensitive with feelings and he chatted with her before he pursued me but I’m still waiting for the chat over Zara.

‘Adam apologised to me before I left the villa and he did ask if we could be friends and I wanted to be the bigger person. We ended on a good note but you can just tell he’s going to do it again because he just can’t help himself.’

After Adam’s kissing skills were slammed by viewers, following his first smooch with Zara on Thursday evening, Rosie commented: ‘I can’t really remember kissing him! It couldn’t be too memorable.’

On her regrets in the villa, she said: ‘I went in there and followed my heart and Adam was the only person I liked. I just went with it, so I went for someone I had an emotional and sexual attraction to.

‘I was obviously physically attracted to him but if I were to change anything about my time, it would be that they send in an Adam with a personality.’

Rosie admitted while she was in the house that she became intimate with Adam yet she now insists she has no regrets over any acts in the house.

She said: I’m a 26-year-old woman and I did what felt right for me and I genuinely thought we had some sort of future there and I believed it…

‘We were talking about our life outside the villa. It was quite natural to take things to the next step, but I’m just glad I found out sooner rather than later…

‘I hope Adam isn’t in there too much longer because I don’t think it was fair that I was actually in there to find love and I’ve been kicked out and he’s in there on his fourth girl in two weeks.’

Having caused stirs when she opted to pose for a smouldering photoshoot alongside co-star Megan – which led to fans cringing at the shots and also Adam saying the image was ‘off-putting’.

She said: ‘Megan and I had a brilliant time and we actually wanted to do a shoot in the villa anyway – we call each other the blonde and brunette dream team.

‘We then said we need to mark our territory as there’s new blonde and brunettes in the house’.
